The Nurse Aide 2 Program will review various approaches to advance nursing assistant procedures. The human body and its function will be addressed as it relates to the course content. This course will include review of scope of practice for C.N.A II; emphasis is placed on sterile techniques, respiratory procedures, catheterizations, wound and tracheotomy care, irrigations and ostomy care. It also addresses the need to care for oneself and encourages the development of professionalism. This is 160 hours program (80 class hours) and (80 lab hours). Enrollment requirements are the same for all programs, please review. Also, student must have a valid current C.N.A 1, listed on the NCNAR Registry with no substantiated allegation of abuse or misappropriation of client’s property.
