Greetings prospective students!
Natasia Grant is a proud Jamaican and a seasoned nursing professional with over 20 years of experience dedicated to healthcare and education. Her journey began in 1982 when her family immigrated from Jamaica to the United States, settling in the lively Bronx community of New York. After nearly three decades in New York, Natasia relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2011, where she continues to leave a lasting impact on both nursing and education.
Her nursing career began as a Licensed Practical Nurse in long-term care. Driven by her passion for growth and patient care, she progressed to become a Registered Nurse, gaining valuable experience in hospital environments—particularly in Mother/Baby units—as well as in home health and case management. Her pursuit of excellence led her to earn a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Mary in 2014.
Today, Natasia serves as the Program Director and Lead Instructor at Blooming Heart School of Health, where she teaches Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, and CPR courses. She is passionate about shaping the future of healthcare and is committed to nurturing her students with the values of empathy, compassion, and clinical excellence.
Outside of her professional work, Natasia has a creative flair. She enjoys fashion, home décor, and has a deep appreciation for music. In her youth, she even dreamed of becoming a DJ—a nod to her energetic and expressive personality. Above all, she is a devoted mother to her daughter, a successful Speech-Language Pathologist.
Natasia’s life is a testament to resilience, purpose, and passion—hallmarks of a woman who has dedicated herself to caring for others and inspiring the next generation of caregivers.

I have been a nurse for over eight years, starting out as an LPN for two years before becoming a Registered Nurse, which I have now practiced for nearly six years. I have worked in a variety of settings including pediatrics, med surg, home health, psychiatry, and geriatrics, which is truly where my heart is. I recently completed my master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In addition to patient care, I have a strong passion for teaching and love sharing my knowledge and experience to help others grow in their healthcare journey.

Affectionately known as the “Mother” of Blooming Heart School, Ms. Irene is often the first friendly face you’ll see when you walk through our doors. Originally from Jamaica, West Indies, she has called the United States home for many years.
With a background as a nurse and certified midwife, Ms. Irene brings both compassion and experience to her role. In her free time, she loves to cook, bake, and entertain—and trust us, you haven’t truly experienced lime cake until you’ve tried hers!
Known for her warmth, kindness, and ever-present smile, Ms. Irene helps make Blooming Heart feel like home for every student who walks in.
